Madara managed to get into the secret place of birth and directly attack Minato. He threatened Minato to get away from Kushina by killing baby Naruto. But Minato could quickly save him. Madara tried to trap Minato to get away from Kushina and seized the Kyuubi from the inside of her body. And with the explosion of spell paper, Madara brought Kushina away. Separately, Kushina was extracted and Madara tried to control it. By exploiting Kushina's weak condition due to childbirth, the Kyuubi can eventually expelled from the body. Minato came and rescued her from the Kyuubi's attack. He brought Kushina to a safer place, along with Naruto. He also went to war against the Kyuubi.
